The Gravette School District, in a partnership with the Gravette Boys & Girls Club, will be offering the 21st Century After School Program to students in grades K-8 this year! This free program will offer tutoring services by certified teachers each day (M-Th) from 3:30-4:30 as well as enrichment activities, Spanish, robotics, and many other exciting events throughout the year. Glenn Duffy students will be picked up as a group by staff members of the Boys & Girls Club and walked over to Gravette Upper where they will receive a healthy snack prior to the tutoring/enrichment time. Gravette Upper and Middle School students will meet in the cafeteria of the Upper Elementary to enjoy their snack as well. Students may be picked up at the Upper Elementary until 5:00 p.m. After that, the children will be walked to the Boys & Girls Club where they may stay as late as 6:00 p.m.
Early Out Fridays will follow the same routine with more sports, Legos, outdoor activities, and celebrations during the learning time.
We are excited to offer this extension of the learning day to our Gravette students. The program will begin on the first day of school- August 17, 2015 and will follow the Gravette School District schedule. If you are interested in your child being a part of the after school program, please complete the application form and return it to your child's teacher or to the Boys & Girls Club representative during Meet the Teacher Night. Students do not have to attend every day in order to be a part of the After School Program.
Looking forward to a great year!
