Lynn Johnson

My name is Lynn Johnson and I am the new Gifted and Talented Program director and middle school gifted teacher. I have a BSBA from the University of Missouri, a Masters in Education from Missouri State University, and received my gifted training from Drury University.

I just finished my 23rd year teaching, with 16 of those being in gifted education at both the elementary and middle school levels. I previously taught in the Joplin School District for 14 years and in the Shawnee Mission, Kansas School District for six. This will be my fourth year as a gifted teacher for Gravette Public Schools.

I received the Golden Apple teaching award in Joplin and have been featured in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. My two children are grown. I love to cook and do crafts of all kinds.

Hi! My name is Elizabeth (Beth) Ozbun and I am the new elementary enrichment teacher at Glenn Duffy Elementary and the GATE teacher at Gravette Upper Elementary. I have eight years experience teaching K-12 Art, and three years experience teaching elementary Gifted and Talented in the pull-out setting. I earned my B.F.A. in Studio Art and my Art Education certification from Missouri State University. I completed my Gifted and Talented certification through the University of Arkansas Little Rock. I am currently working of my Gifted and Talented graduate degree through UALR.

I have one daughter. She is a sophomore in college majoring in photo journalism. In my free time I like making nature prints, hiking, and doing yoga.
