Mr. Mason Ingle
I am Mason Ingle, and I currently teach Geometry and Quantitative Literacy.
I am originally from Mountain Home, AR, where I graduated in 2006. In high school, I played the Euphonium (Baritone) in band and sat first chair. In addition to band, I was also a member of the Drama Club at the high school. I starred in two plays in my acting career. The first was Aladdin (not the Disney version), and I played "The Evil Magician" (Jafar) and "Jester Number 1." My second play was titled "Once Upon a Clothesline," where I played the lead clothespin, Pinno.
After high school, I received an academic scholarship to attend school at Arkansas Tech University where I decided to major in Early Childhood Education. Within a year, I knew that teaching younger children was most likely not my calling, and I still wasn't quite sure what was. At this point, I decided to move back to Mountain Home until I could "figure out what I wanted to do." After a year of being back home, I met my wife. After a couple more years, she convinced me to go back to Arkansas Tech to get my Bachelor's of Science in Mathematics and Mathematics Education.
Straight out of college, I landed my first teaching job at Alpena High School. At Alpena, I taught everything mathematics including Geometry, Algebra II, Bridge to Algebra II, Advanced Topics and Modeling in Mathematics, and Pre-Calculus. I also was granted the opportunity to teach EAST as well as coach the Alpena Robotics Team.
My wife and I then had our lovely daughter in the spring of my first year teaching, and I quickly realized that babies are expensive! I began looking for other work to make ends meet, and a year later I found Gravette. Now I have the opportunity to teach at an amazing district in Northwest Arkansas and I couldn't be happier!
