Mrs. Melissa Pittman
My name is Melissa Pittman. I'm starting my 16th year of teaching & my 9th year here at Gravette. I am so excited to be working with your children. I taught 2 years at County Line High School in Branch, AR where I taught Health & PE and coached the High School fastpitch softball team. I taught 6 years at Huntsville where I taught 7th and 8th grade Science & PE and also coached girls basketball, fastpitch softball, and volleyball. I am happily married to my wonderful husband, Will Pittman (high school EAST facilitator and Sr. Girls basketball coach) and we have 3 children. Parker our oldest daughter will be 12 on Halloween, Palmer our youngest daughter will be 10 in January, and Liam our son will be 9 next April. Yes, that’s right I have all 3 children here in the Gravette Public Schools system and we couldn't be happier about it. Woo Hoo!!!
My husband and myself love our jobs and love raising our children in the outstanding community. I enjoy running, biking, fishing, camping, pretty much anything outdoors, and all things SPORTS!
I attended Farmington Public Schools K-12 and grew up on a dairy farm. My children show dairy cattle at the Washington County fair in Fayetteville. That's where my parents farm is located (Spears Cattle Company) and that is where we keep our show calves most of the year. I am the oldest of my siblings and the only girl out of three. I attended the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR where I played basketball for 4 years and fastpitch softball for 2 years. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Health in 2003 and my Master’s in Physical Education from the University of Arkansas in 2015. Yay!!! Go Hogs...WPS!!!
