Machining

Objectives

  • The machining program teaches students how to use high-tech machine tools to make parts and instruments for anything from cars to industrial machinery and medical equipment. CNC (computer numerical control) machining is a process that uses code, often generated using computer software, to control the movement of cutting tools to manufacture parts through material removal. Students will gain job-ready abilities that can help them take a place in the advanced manufacturing field. With hands-on training and high-tech skills students will be prepared for a career as a computer numerical control (CNC) machinist.
