Dr. Richard Page was born in Little Rock, Arkansas and attended school in the Pulaski County School District. He later attended college at Arkansas State University and graduated with his Bachelor’s Degree in 1978 and Master’s Degree in 1980. He taught band, choir and general music classes in the New Madrid School District, Matthews, Missouri before returning to Arkansas as a band director at Greene County Tech. School District, in Paragould, Arkansas. In 1987, Dr. Page was appointed the Instrumental Music Supervisor and High School Band Director in the Joplin R8 School District. During that time he completed his Specialist Degree in 1990 and served as night school administrator at the high school. In 1992, he became the principal at Granby Elementary School in the East Newton School District and later accepted the position of Assistant High School Principal at Webb City High School in Webb City, Missouri. He completed is Doctorate in Educational Administration from the University of Arkansas in 1997.
Dr. Page’s Superintendent career began when invited to attend a board meeting in Sarcoxie. He served one year at Sarcoxie before going to the Neosho School District where he has been a central office administrator for the last twelve years, seven of those as Superintendent. This is his seventh year as Superintendent in the Gravette School District.
