The Gravette School District Board of Directors will have a vacancy beginning June 1, 2025 due to a Director’s term ending and no qualified candidate presenting themselves for election.
Subject to Board policy 1.2, the Board of Directors shall appoint a successor at the May 19th, 2025 meeting.
A successful candidate for appointment will be registered to vote in the Gravette School District (#20) as well as fill out a candidate questionnaire located here: https://forms.gle/XQ6dmnfHu4VCwnGv9
The candidates shall be available/present at the May 19th, 2025 Board of Director’s meeting, located at the Administration Building (609 Birmingham St SE, Gravette, AR) at 6:00 PM.
Each candidate will have 5 minutes to introduce themselves to the Board and answer any questions the Board may have. If there are more than 5 applicants, the list of candidates shall be narrowed to 3 finalists and an appointment will be made during the meeting. The appointed Director (after being duly sworn in) shall begin serving at the next scheduled Board meeting (June 2nd, 2025). The appointed Director shall serve until the next scheduled School Board election, usually 1 year.
