Construction at Gravette High School is beginning this week. Crossland Construction is preparing the area for the early phase of a six-classroom expansion scheduled to open in August 2026. This project marks the first addition of instructional space at GHS in twenty years and will create room for growth and improved organization across the building. The new classrooms will be built to tornado-shelter standards with capacity to protect every high schooler during severe weather.
Interruptions to the flow of traffic are expected to be minimal as the construction crew will limit activity during pickup and dropoff times. Thank you for your patience during this brief construction project. We look forward to offering new opportunities for students starting with the 2026-2027 school year.
Crews will utilize the access road off Highway 72, which has been inactive for several years
The expansion will occupy the open area on the southwest end of the building
