Glenn Duffy Elementary School’s Lori Miller was honored as the recipient of KNWA’s Golden Apple Award for September 2026. Miller was recognized for creating a supportive, positive classroom environment where every child feels loved, respected, and excited to learn.
Presented by KNWA in partnership with Post Consumer Brands, the Golden Apple Award recognizes Northwest Arkansas educators and school staff through nominations from students, families, colleagues, and community members. Representatives from Post Consumer Brands joined in to present Miller with a gift basket in appreciation of her dedication behind the scenes.
Miller shared that her personal childhood experiences inspired her to enter teaching to ensure school is a joyful and welcoming place for every child. She emphasized how much her young students teach her about patience, kindness, and celebrating differences, noting that her favorite compliment is hearing a child say they can't wait to come to school tomorrow.
Miller is the second Gravette School District educator honored this school year, following Gravette Middle School GATE Teacher Rachel Gibson, who received the award in August for her work implementing leadership frameworks and innovative classroom strategies.
Congratulations to Mrs. Lori Miller, and thank you for the heart, patience, and care you invest in Glenn Duffy Elementary students every day!
