🎗️ Gravette is Going Gold on September 4! We’ll be joining other schools across Northwest Arkansas in recognizing Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Students and staff are encouraged to wear gold or yellow to show support for children fighting cancer and their families. At Gravette Middle School, this is especially meaningful as one of our Lions is currently battling brain cancer.

Your support shows strength and solidarity with families facing the hardship of childhood cancer. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. 🦁🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools

🚗 GDE and GUE families, now that we’re in our second day back, we want to help make drop-off and pick-up even smoother. If you have kiddos in both schools, try dropping off or picking up Gravette Upper Elementary students first before heading to Glenn Duffy Elementary.

📍 GUE’s line typically moves faster, and this order can help reduce wait times for both schools.

📚 Glenn A. Duffy Elementary's little Lions are getting an expanded library selection thanks to a $5,000 grant from the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries! With this grant, our library will further develop a refreshed chapter book collection. Currently, fictional chapter books make up just 11% of the library’s offerings. While classic stories remain important, there is a need for relevant and age-appropriate titles that better meet the interests of students. Students and teachers will even get to provide their wish lists to help with the curation of new books. Behind this grant award was months of research and planning by Library Media Specialist April Jones, who closely reviewed circulation data and collection trends to better align the library with student needs. Her work is exemplary of the precision and care our staff bring to every part of the student experience. This was April’s first-ever grant application, and it was a winner! Thank you, Mrs. Jones, for your extra effort for the kids! 🦁🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools

🦁 The 2024–25 school year is in the books. For many in our schools, it was their first... first year leading, first year learning, or first year walking through our doors. We’re proud of the progress made and thankful for the people who made it possible. From Mr. Gravette’s first year as superintendent to Dr. Newsom’s first year at Glenn A. Duffy Elementary, this was a year of fresh starts and firm steps forward. Across all our schools, staff and students put in the work and showed what it means to be part of Gravette. Our students and staff are strong, focused, and ready. And the 2025-2026 school year is already looking bright. See you next year, Lions! Enjoy the time off and come back recharged and ready to pounce! 🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools
