Arkansas will be using the new Arkansas Teaching and Learning Assessment System (ATLAS) in the spring of 2025. This assessment is fully aligned with Arkansas state standards, and educators from across the state have played a role in its development.

The summative test serves as one measurement to evaluate a school districtโ€™s effectiveness. These assessments help districts and schools develop programs that best support student learning. Individual Student Reports will be distributed in the fall of 2025.

The Arkansas Educational Support and Accountability Systems (AESAS) Act 930, Section 2 of 2017 requires the state of Arkansas to administer standardized testing to public school students.
