Our Focus: Leader in Me

This month, we’re continuing our journey through the Leader in Me habits... Skills that help students take charge of their learning, relationships, and goals. Each habit builds confidence and responsibility, both at school and at home.

Habit of Focus: Begin With the End in Mind

Define a clear vision of what you want to achieve.

Student Takeaways:

  • Set goals for myself.

  • Define a clear vision of what I want my future to look like.

  • Make choices that help me accomplish my long-term goals.

At-Home Activity:
Create a Family Vision Board! Work together as a family to make a vision board filled with goals and dreams—these might include trips, projects, or personal achievements. Use photos or drawings, and talk about the steps needed to reach each goal.

Leader at Home Tips:

  • Model the Habits: Share examples of how you use the 7 Habits in your daily life.

  • Empower Decision-Making: Encourage your child to make choices and reflect on the outcomes.

  • Celebrate Growth: Recognize and praise moments when your child demonstrates leadership.

Outdoor Classroom

Thanks to your support, our outdoor classroom blanket fundraiser was a huge success! We’re excited to move into the next phase of this project. Our upcoming plans include adding a shade structure to provide a comfortable space for students to gather and building raised planter boxes for our sensory garden. 🌱 These additions will help create a welcoming and engaging space for all of our students to learn and explore. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue bringing this vision to life!

PE Homework

Click the image above to open the YouTube playlist with helpful shoe-tying tips!

Want to learn how to tie your shoes?
It's a very easy thing to do
Just sit on down and I'll give you the scoop
What's that? It's called a "loop de loop"
You gotta take a lace in each hand

You go over and under again
You make a loop de loop and pull
And your shoes are lookin' cool!

You go over and back, left to right
Loop de loop and you pull 'em tight!
Like bunny ears or a Christmas bow
Lace 'em up and you're ready to go!

You make a loop de loop and pull
And your shoes are lookin' cool
