The Golden Paw Awards and Student of the Week feature is back on the Glenn A. Duffy Elementary website with a fresh new look! A big thank-you goes to Mrs. Brown for taking the lead on the project since September, and for her patience as we got everything up and running for the website again.
We will kick things off with the most recent week, but we’ll also be revisiting past weeks to give all our young Lions the recognition they deserve. Every student who’s earned a Golden Paw or been named Student of the Week has shown leadership and kindness worth celebrating.
Congratulations to all our Golden Paw Award winners for the week of October 27, 2025, and to our Student of the Week! Golden Paws are given to students who model one of the Seven Habits of Happy Kids that guide these young Lions throughout the year.
The Seven Habits are:
Be Proactive (Take Charge)
Begin With the End in Mind (Have a Plan)
Put First Things First (Work First, Then Play)
Think Win-Win
Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood
Synergize (Play Well With Others)
Sharpen the Saw (Take Care of Yourself)
Each Golden Paw Winner receives a bracelet and is entered into a drawing to be named Student of the Week.
Clara, Student of the Week for October 27th
Clara was recognized for Habit 1: Be Proactive. She takes charge of her learning, makes thoughtful choices, and shows leadership in how she treats others. Clara leads by example, showing her classmates that being proactive means doing what’s right even when no one is watching.
