This week has a whole new group of Golden Paw Award winners, students selected by staff for demonstrating the Seven Habits. This program helps young Lions learn leadership and personal responsibility through habits like:
Be Proactive (Take Charge)
Begin With the End in Mind (Have a Plan)
Put First Things First (Work First, Then Play)
Think Win-Win
Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood
Synergize (Play Well With Others)
Sharpen the Saw (Take Care of Yourself)
Earning a Golden Paw includes receiving a new bracelet. It also qualifies the student for a drawing to be selected as the Student of the Week.
Claire, Student of the Week for November 3rd
This week's Student of the Week is Claire from Mrs. Bayley's classroom. She was chosen for modeling Habit 1, Be Proactive. This habit is about understanding that you are in control of your own choices. Claire demonstrates this by taking responsibility for her schoolwork and her actions, modeling that leadership habit for her classmates.
