We are proud to highlight the latest group of Golden Paw Award recipients at Glenn A. Duffy Elementary. These students stood out to our staff for living out the Seven Habits in their daily activities and interactions.
Be Proactive (Take Charge)
Begin With the End in Mind (Have a Plan)
Put First Things First (Work First, Then Play)
Think Win-Win
Seek First to Understand, Then to be Understood
Synergize (Play Well With Others)
Sharpen the Saw (Take Care of Yourself)
Students earning this honor receive a Golden Paw bracelet as a reminder of their hard work. They are also entered into a weekly drawing for the opportunity to be our Student of the Week.
Xander, Student of the Week for February 17th
Our Student of the Week is Xander from Mrs. Rutledge's second-grade classroom. He was recognized for modeling Habit 1, Be Proactive. This habit empowers students to understand that they are responsible for their own behavior and reactions. Xander demonstrates this by staying focused on his tasks and making good choices even when a teacher is not watching.
