Lion Leaders Leading the Way
Leader in Me: 7 Habits of Happy Kids Welcome to our monthly Leader in Me newsletter!
Through the Leader in Me framework, we aim to empower every student with leadership and life skills. By fostering a culture of collaboration, responsibility, and personal growth, we ensure that every child realizes their unique potential.
Student Takeaways Habit of Focus: Sharpen the Saw Regularly renew and balance your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
Take Care of My Body: Eat right, exercise, and get enough rest.
Make Time for Learning: Engage in creativity and activities that help me grow.
Enjoy Relationships: Connect with family and friends to stay balanced and happy.
At-Home Activity Have a "Family Wellness Day." Plan a day to do activities that refresh the mind, body, and soul, such as a walk in nature, reading time, or a family yoga session. Discuss how self-care makes everyone more effective and happy.
Leader at Home Tips
Model the Habits: Talk about how to use the 7 Habits in your own life.
Empower Decision-Making: Let your child make choices and reflect on outcomes.
Celebrate Growth: Acknowledge when your child demonstrates leadership.

Mrs. Brown's Studio Spotlight
The Gravette School District art show is this week! Walking through the Event Center will feel like entering a grand world fair where the work of our kids in every grade level fills the room.
Experience the growth of our Lions as you explore hundreds of paintings and sculptures that show unique student vision. Last year was the biggest turnout yet, and we're hoping to match or exceed that. Supporting these artists helps them recognize the success of their hard work and encourages them to keep creating. Before we head into spring break, mark your calendars for this spectacular community evening. Parent support shows our students that their efforts matter and strengthens the connection between our schools and the families we serve. Have a restful break and get ready for a marvelous show!
Date: Thursday, April 9, 2026
Time: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Location: Event Center at Ozark Community Hospital
We could use your help! Our staff are seeking parent volunteers to help out with the enormous task of running this show. Please consider signing up to help make this event a success!

Music Notes from Mrs. Hamilton
Parents/Guardians,
The 1st graders will be performing their spring concert, Blast Off!, on April 21st, at 6:00 PM. This musical explores our solar system as amateur astronauts. We will rocket to the sun and the moon, explore all the planets, learn how to remember their names, and maybe even see an alien along the way.
Performance Details:
Location: Gravette Performing Arts Center at Gravette High School
Arrival Time: Please have your students there by 5:45 PM * Costumes: Please have your children dress in bright, spring colors. If you would like to dress up as aliens or astronauts, that is also great! Please be sure that these are school and weather-appropriate.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

CALLING ALL DADS AND MOMS ON DUTY!!
We need community help for our Outdoor Classroom project! We are organizing a "Dads and Moms on Duty" Saturday work day to build a foundation for future science, art, and math lessons in the fresh air. While we have not set the final date, we are compiling a roster of volunteers to get an idea of the best schedule.
We're planning to erect a metal shade structure, which involves pouring concrete anchors, and to build six wooden planter boxes. Anyone with experience in metal and wood construction who is willing to donate their labor would be greatly appreciated! Transforming this open area into a functional educational garden will provide our young Lions with new ways to explore nature and STEAM subjects. We are grateful for the community members ready to lend their professional tools and time to build something lasting for our school.
