On Monday night's School Board Meeting, we recognized our "VAM Queens" (coined by Mrs. Childress 😉). But you may be asking, "What is VAM??". VAM stands for Value Added Measure scores. The state takes student growth scores from all the students the teacher instructs, and calculations are done to determine the effectiveness of a teacher. The state then takes these scores and ranks them so they can honor those teachers who are in the TOP 5% of educators in Arkansas when it comes to receiving academic growth out of students.
