This week’s shortened episode of Lion Pride News begins with important updates regarding the 7th-grade reward trip scheduled for Monday, pending weather conditions. Due to the potential for inclement weather, all students are instructed to bring their Chromebooks and chargers home. Families are reminded to check their contact information with the office to ensure they receive automated phone calls regarding school closures.
The announcements also celebrate the Middle School FFA members who competed in a horse judging contest at the University of Arkansas; congratulations to students for placing in the top 10, and to one student for taking home first place. The Jan/Feb Photo Contest is open for submissions in categories including sunset/sunrise, candid, water, and animals.
The episode transitions into a series of interviews where teachers ask students to predict their behavior. Scenarios include guessing a teacher's excuse for being late (answers ranged from "stopping at Casey's" to "getting McDonald's") and predicting where they hide when not in class (mostly the teacher's lounge or 7Brew). The show features a "Hear Me Out" segment regarding fictional crushes, a "Pass the Mic" game among the staff, and concludes with a "Strike a Pose" montage.
