This week’s edition of Lion Pride News shifts focus to a busy week of upcoming events and school activities. The National Junior Honor Society is hosting its induction ceremony this Monday evening at 6:00 PM. Come out and support your peers! Looking ahead to Tuesday, February 24th, GMS will host the Winter Dance from 3:18 PM to 5:00 PM. Students are reminded that phones are not permitted at the dance, and they should bring money for the concession stand. Parents, please be ready for pickup in the parking lot promptly at 5:00 PM. Finally, show your school spirit this Thursday at 5:00 PM as High School Soccer kicks off its season with a home game under Coach Smith and Coach Q.
The broadcast features "Sibling SmackDown," a Steve Harvey-style game show where Jalen and Allison face off to see who knows the other better. The episode also checks in with the Science department and takes a trip to the library to see what’s trending on the bookshelves, including a spotlight on The Hunger Games.
A highlight of the show is the "Principal for a Day" segment, where students share their wildest ideas for school improvements. Suggestions range from the philanthropic, such as donating to charity and providing more support for special education, to the wishful, including installing fast-food outlets in the cafeteria, replacing water fountains with soda dispensers, and allowing everyone to wear Razorback jerseys.
