Don't be fooled by her nice demeanor, Laney is a fighter and is determined to do well. I was so impressed when she requested to be put in RTI and retake a quiz that she struggled on at the beginning of the semester and tackled the challenge head on. When we were doing rockets, Laney had some technical issues with hers. Instead of giving up, she came back again and ended up having the 2nd highest altitude in the grade! I love that Laney is not afraid to make a mistake and come back and do better the next time. She has a great attitude and work ethic!" 💪👏 Officer Turnbull had to sneak in a pic too 😋

Yesterday, the "Be Pro Be Proud" truck stopped by our GMS campus! Students got to go inside this $1.4 million dollar rig and do all different kinds of simulations regarding Trade work. From welding, to operating a backhoe, to putting together a virtual engine, and even working the same machine they have on the line at Tyson plants. 🐔 Our Lions were having a blast!

Today marked the annual "See You at the Pole" prayer rally, an event organized and led by the GMS Fellowship of Christian Students. They came together at the flag poles before school to pray for their friends, families, teachers, school and nation! ⛪✝

Mrs. Hull Folker's 7th-8th graders did a GREAT job on their cardboard letter sculpture that highlighted typefaces, 3-d patterns, surface design, and cardboard construction. This was their first big project of the year! 🎨
