Congratulations to our GMS Student of the Week! 8th-grader, Lane Burrow, is our winner. Mr. Leach said, "She has been doing a great job this year in science! Don't be fooled by her nice demeanor, Laney is a fighter and is determined to do well. I was so impressed when she requested to be put in RTI and retake a quiz that she struggled on at the beginning of the semester and tackled the challenge head on. When we were doing rockets, Laney had some technical issues with hers. Instead of giving up, she came back again and ended up having the 2nd highest altitude in the grade! I love that Laney is not afraid to make a mistake and come back and do better the next time. She has a great attitude and work ethic!" 💪👏 Officer Turnbull had to sneak in a pic too 😋

Yesterday, the "Be Pro Be Proud" truck stopped by our GMS campus! Students got to go inside this $1.4 million dollar rig and do all different kinds of simulations regarding Trade work. From welding, to operating a backhoe, to putting together a virtual engine, and even working the same machine they have on the line at Tyson plants. 🐔 Our Lions were having a blast!
