🎨 Art Show Tonight! Gravette students from every grade have been working for months on their masterpieces, and we're excited to see the community come out and support these kids! See you tonight from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Event Center @ Ozark Community Hospital.
🎨 Gravette Schools Art Show is TOMORROW... We have been preparing for so long and it's finally time! From our youngest creators to our most advanced artists, students across the district have been putting their talent on display through paintings, drawings, sculptures, and more.
This year, students across the district explored the work of renowned artist Yayoi Kusama, known for her bold polka dots, immersive spaces, and infinite patterns. Inspired by her style, many of our young artists created their own unique interpretations, adding their own twist to her iconic approach. But that's just the start, we've got so so many fantastic works of art that showcase each student's unique style too!
Join us for show tomorrow, Thursday, March 13, from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the Event Center @ Ozark Community Hospital. This is huge a celebration of self-expression, inspiration, imagination, and the outstanding art education happening in our schools.

This week, the School Board and Mr. Gravette joined students and staff at Gravette Upper Elementary for a special breakfast highlighting student leadership. While district leaders enjoyed a nutritious breakfast from the GUE cafeteria, the student Lighthouse Team debuted a video inviting Glenn Duffy Elementary students to form their own Lighthouse Team, sharing what leadership looks like at GUE and how they apply the 8 Habits in their school.
After breakfast, board members toured fifth-grade classrooms to see leadership in action. In Mrs. Riggs’ class, students shared details about their toy drive for Arkansas Children’s Hospital. In Mrs. Renner’s class, students presented leadership projects, including the launch of new student-led clubs such as a Sports Club and a Newspaper Club. The Newspaper Club even distributed copies of their latest issue for board members and students to read. The board then visited Mrs. Hamilton’s class, where students showcased their pop tab donation collection and explained the logistics and impact of their efforts. Other students displayed posters they designed to encourage donations from across the district. The tour continued into Ms. Carreira’s and Mrs. Taylor’s classrooms, where students proudly shared their leadership projects and learning experiences.
Throughout the morning, board members talked to many students, seeing firsthand how leadership is embedded in daily activities at GUE. Students were excited to share their leadership projects and experiences with the school board, gaining confidence in their abilities and seeing that their voices, ideas, and efforts are valued by district leaders. This opportunity also gave them a chance to reflect on what they’ve learned and accomplished, reinforcing the impact of their hard work and the importance of leadership in their school community.
A sincere thank you to the Gravette School Board for taking time from their busy schedules to engage with our students, witness leadership in action, and support the incredible work happening in our schools. Your involvement makes a meaningful impact on our students and staff!

This is the week of Bus Driver Appreciation Day. Even though the snow kept us away from school, we’re especially grateful for our bus drivers who always put student safety first! Through every season, they work hard to ensure a smooth ride and a warm welcome for our students and families.
Let’s take a moment to thank our bus drivers for their kindness, patience, and commitment to our kids. If you see your driver on Monday, give them a big thank you and a smile!
Our drivers are the ones we see every day, but behind every safe and smooth bus route, there’s a team working hard to make it happen! A huge shoutout goes to Mr. Richard Carver, our Transportation & Facilities Director, and Mrs. Melissa White, our Transportation & Facilities Administrative Assistant, for all they do to keep our buses running and our students safe. Their hard work, planning, and care make a difference every day!
Our schools need more bus drivers! If you or someone you know is interested in joining our team, check out the job posting here: https://www.gravetteschools.net/drive

The Gravette 9th Grade Quiz Bowl team had a strong showing at the State Finals last Saturday at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock. After losing only one match during morning round-robin play, the team advanced through the afternoon bracket to reach the championship match.
Trailing by 70 points going into the final round, the team fought back to tie the match, forcing overtime. After five tiebreaker questions, the teams remained even, leading to a sudden death round. Isaac Nichols answered the first sudden death question correctly, securing the win for Gravette!
Jarett Fort and Isaac Nichols were both named to the all-tournament team for their performances.
While junior high teams do not have a single recognized state champion due to AAA rules, Gravette claimed the top spot in their bracket. This team has demonstrated skill, perseverance, and teamwork, and we look forward to seeing their continued success in the years ahead.
