Today was Mr. Brian's last day at GDE. He has been the glue that holds us together for 9 years now! Mr. Brian is loved BIG TIME and will be missed. ๐งก He is headed right across the street to the Community Hospital! Best wishes, Mr. B!

It's SHOUT-OUT time....and this special shout-out goes to YOU. Our parents, grandparents, guardians, and community members who have been incredibly patient and kind during these first three days of school. Never before has our drop-off and pick-up lines gone this smoothly before! ๐ It may still be a bit of a wait, but compared to years past, this is truly the fastest it has gone. And all because of YOU! We couldn't be more grateful for having such amazing parents and community members to support us during this first week back ๐ฆ Thanks for being a part of our lion pride!

First day of the 2023 - 2024 school year! Welcome back, lions! ๐ฆ We missed those smiling faces!

As the first day of school is approaching, please take a look at the daily bell schedule and note that on Fridays all of our schools get out EARLY. The time is listed below!

We have our first staff SHOUT OUT of the year and it hasn't even officially started yet ๐ Dr. Barrett and Mrs. Brecheen wanted to shout out our AWESOME lunch bunch ladies who made over 600+ hot dogs for the Open Houses this past Friday. ๐

W-O-W! Earlier this week, several members from a local church brought a GIANT cookie cake, Walmart gift cards, and notes of appreciation for teachers and staff for both GDE & GUE. Each card was individually addressed, too ๐งก Our teachers and staff want to say THANK YOU BIG TIME, New Life. It's exactly what they needed this week!

Glenn A. Duffy Elementaryโs theme this year is "Be the light that leads others". We want to instill in the students how they are all leaders and can shine bright in their actions! We would love for you and your kids to purchase some swag to show your spirit throughout the year to celebrate our theme. All proceeds will go towards Glenn A. Duffy Elementary. The store closes in 30 days! Click here: https://skylinemerch.printavo.com/merch/gdebts23

GDE & GUE's 2nd Annual Back-to-School Bash/ Open House is TOMORROW from 3:30pm - 7pm at the GMS Volleyball Gym. Open House for both schools will be from 3:30pm - 5:30pm (only). At that time, you and your family will be able to tour whichever school your child (or children) will be attending, meet the teachers, and drop off school supplies. Afterward, we encourage you to head outside and enjoy the festivities!

Both our GDE & GUE teachers have been diligently learning and focusing on the "Leader in Me" practices. These teachings encourage educators to inspire greatness one child at a time! It's been a busy, but productive week! ๐

Better late than never, but our postcards just went in the mail yesterday!! We apologize for the delay but our supplies got delayed getting here. Thank you all for your patience and understanding โบ๏ธ

Parents, as we are all gearing back up to go back to school, please take note of this traffic flow map. It is VERY important for the first several weeks that we all follow the green arrows. And note, the walker club does NOT START until AFTER Labor Day, 9/4. This is for safety reasons. Once traffic has calmed down and folks know the route, the walker club will begin. Thank you for understanding!

Join us in welcoming our newest educators to GDE ๐ฅณ Each one of these amazing educators is full of excitement and is READY for the new school year. We encourage you to find them at the "Back to School Bash" coming up and give them a BIG Gravette Lions welcome ๐ฆ
