This morning our Gravette School Board toured GDE and saw our phenomenal teachers in action! They also had a little surprise in their back pocket for the one and only, Mrs. Hall. 🤗 Mrs. Hall was awarded with the "A Cut Above" award. This esteemed recognition means that we SEE and THANK you, Mrs. Hall, for showing up and making SUCH a difference in the lives of your students. Please take a moment to congratulate her and show her some love! 🧡 Also, shout out to our Gravette FFA Chapter for hand making this award. It's that much more special!

Did you know the Gravette School District has an Instagram? Pictures of ALL your favorite lions in one place! 🦁 Please go give us a follow so you can stay up to date with all that is happening across the district! ☺

Congratulations to our "Habit 1: Leader in Me" students of the week! We are super proud of you both, Paxton & Dennis! 👏

Just a few pics from these past few dress-up days! 💕 Tomorrow is "Tree Topper Time: Antlers/Hats", Thursday is "Holiday Sweater", and Friday is "Christmas Vacation: Hawaiian Shirts/Leis". Don't forget, the "December to Remember" dress-up calendar is on our website! Click here: https://www.gravetteschools.net/o/gde

Did you know that there is scientific evidence that has proven that stroking a dog for 15 minutes can reduce a human’s blood pressure by 10% as well as increase the production of feel-good hormones including serotonin, prolactin, and oxytocin? Some may even say that if you snuggle up real close you'll have a 100% chance of accidentally taking a mid-day snooze. 😉 In all seriousness, Tilly is doing what she does best! By being her sweet and calm self, she helps regulate our student's emotions and allows our lions to succeed. Don't ever underestimate the power of a good hug and pet from Tilly!

Do you ever wonder where Title 1 funding goes to help our Lions? Or you could be thinking, "What even is Title 1?" Then mark your calendars to attend our VIRTUAL "Title 1" meeting! 📅 December 11th from 7pm - 7:30pm on Google Meet. If you join, you will be entered into a drawing for a Family Night Basket (pictured below)! Don't miss out on this GREAT opportunity! Link for the Google Meet: https://meet.google.com/aum-nemz-yma

We are excited to announce that we will be having a food drive to gather donations for the local food pantry! Each grade level will be competing against each other to see who can bring in the most food items! The grade level with the most food items will earn an EXTRA RECESS. We will begin this Friday, December 1, and it will last until Friday, December 15. Let's get ready to rumble...for a great cause! 🥰

Yesterday, Mrs. Runsick's 2nd-grade class had SO much fun playing shop! They practiced budgeting, identifying coins, counting coins, and paying a cashier. ☺

Have a great Thanksgiving Break, everyone! 🍂

Our pre-k students are READY for Thanksgiving Break! Bring on the turkey! Happy Friday, everyone. ☺

Yesterday, first grade had the Rogers Historical Museum come and teach our students about Native Americans in Arkansas. Our students had a hands-on experience with several Native American artifacts that were once used by the Native Americans who lived on Arkansas. So cool! Thank you, Rogers Historical Museum!

Ms. Hunter's Pre-K class is ready for Thanksgiving! ☺

Such an honor to celebrate with these amazing GDE students who received the October Superintendent's Reading Award! #experiencethepride

Thank you to our local Veterans and Police Chief, Skaggs, for coming to our Veterans Day Assembly! Also a huge thank you to our GMS Band and Choir students for providing your assistance! If you missed the live stream, we will be uploading it to the Gravette School District YouTube channel soon. This was our first time trying something like this, so we thank you for your patience and understanding with our live stream hiccups 🥰 Great job, lions!

On November 10th, at 1:15 p.m., parents and guardians are invited to join us online for the live stream of our Veteran's Day assembly. This assembly will include GDE and GUE. There will also be a guest speaker from our very own Gravette PD! Because of space constraints, we are not able to allow parents to attend in person this year. However, we will have a live stream available for anyone who would like to attend. Click here to watch: https://www.youtube.com/@gravetteyt2297
