❗ Parent Reminder ❗ All parents need to go through the car rider line to drop off and pick up their student. Please do not park at the other buildings and walk your child over. We are working out our first week jitters and promise the car rider lines will get faster. Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, August 17), Glenn A. Duffy will not dismiss kids out the front door, unless they are approved walkers that live in the walk zone. If parents walk over, we will ask them to go back to their car and get in the car line. Kindergarten Alert! Parents here's what your kindergartener needs for the first day of school: pencil pouch, a box of crayons, scissors, and a change of clothes in their backpacks. The rest of their supplies can start to come in on Friday, August 20th. Also, please join our kindergarten Facebook page. Good morning GDE parents! Reminder for you! We need your completed enrollment forms. If you still need to turn in any immunization records, physicals, or other documentation, please turn it in this week during office hours.

Please join us tomorrow night at 6 p.m. for a special school board meeting. The meeting will be held in the GMS cafeteria. Board members will be discussing student and adult mask wearing at your child's school. If you were unable to attend an open house, please email your thoughts to our superintendent - maribel.childress@gravetteschools.net. All feedback received by noon on Thursday will be shared with the school board prior to the meeting. Again, the meeting is on Thursday, August 12 at 6:00PM in the Gravette Middle School cafeteria.

Our Gravette School Board is going to meet on Thursday evening at 6:00PM in the Gravette Middle School cafeteria to consider the safe opening of the school year, including the consideration of mask wearing. Please complete a "Mask Consideration Family Poll" when you are at your child's Open House on Tuesday. We want to include your thoughts and opinions in our consideration!

Please welcome our new music teacher for Glenn A. Duffy Elementary! We're happy to have her! Gabby Hamilton grew up in Hiwasse, AR and attended Bentonville Schools. After graduation she attended John Brown University where she earned a Bachelor’s in Music Education and met her husband of six years, Steve. They moved to Gravette a year ago with their beautiful three-year old daughter, Kaylee. When Gabby is not teaching she can be found baking, reading books to Kaylee, and spending time outside.

We have another new employee coming to Glenn A. Duffy this year! Give a big welcome to our new PE teacher My name is Emma Wisdom and I am so excited to be the new PE teacher at GDE! I grew up in Rogers, Arkansas. I just graduated from the University of Arkansas in May where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Teaching Physical Education and Health. I love all things sports and outdoors! In my free time I enjoy finding fun hiking trails and playing basketball. I am looking forward to all the fun activities and skills I get to teach the kids this year!
