Next summer, join us as we stand in the presence of a giant at the Lincoln Memorial, walk in George Washington’s footsteps at Mount Vernon, soak in the bright lights of Times Square, and experience a performance like no other on Broadway.

Mark your calendars! The Book Fair will be in our GMS Library NEXT WEEK. April 15th- 19th. 📚 See you there, lions!

We will be having HAT DAY TOMORROW! Students and staff can pay $1 to wear a hat of their choice (school appropriate). Mrs. Lester will be in the cafeteria tomorrow morning to collect money and stamp the hand of those who have paid. All of the proceeds will go to helping a special member of our Gravette School District family 🧡

Our wrestling program is growing! In previous years, this was just a club for our younger students. But starting in the 24-25 school year, we will officially have a JH Wrestling team 👏👏👏 7th-9th grade athletes will have a first hour blocked off for athletics and travel/compete as a team. We are excited for this next round of wrestlers and can't wait for next year!!

At the beginning of last month, our students went head to head in a Penny War! 💰Overall, 7th grade took the W 👏 Way to go, GMS, on raising OVER $400 for Make-A-Wish!

Before Spring Break, this select group of 8th graders tackled a BIG experiment! Under Mr. Leach's guidance, these young scientists took on a high-school-level microbiology unit that took over a week to complete. Students used the organism, escherichia coli, and watched it maintain or even grow with certain variables introduced. 🧪
A HUGE THANK YOU to Mr. Leach. He saw a want in these students to continue and push their knowledge, therefore he took his prep periods to do this week-long process. We have the BEST educators! 🧡

Students in Mrs. Youngblood’s KeyCode classes took apart old desktops and Chromebooks to help them visually understand how the computer works. They loved breaking them apart and fought over whose turn it was! 💻
