Our 6th Grade Choir performed in the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel in Bella Vista on Friday, March 8. They workshopped songs from the 1600s to the present day in a space that replicates the acoustical environment that choirs have sung in for hundreds of years. After hearing their beautiful songs reverberate through the chapel, everyone agreed they would rather sing in that space than anywhere they have sung before. A wonderful choral experience!

📖 Here's another book recommendation from Mr. Walker! This book is in our Parent Center. "Sticks and Stones" helps parents teach kids how to speak up for themselves more assertively, gently, and effectively. Each chapter, based on the characteristics of a particular bird, uses a wealth of examples and imaginative exercises to give kids the confidence to speak truth to power. This unique guide, beautifully illustrated with line drawings of each bird and informed by the author's gentle humor, will help kids be effective communicators and includes easy-to-follow exercises and sample scripts.

TESTING IS TOMORROW ‼ Parents, please take note of the testing days coming up. We HIGHLY ENCOURAGE no student to miss ANY school these specific days. The state has implemented new testing practices surrounding the "Writing" test day, March 5th which is TOMORROW. If your child is checked out on this day, they will not be able to come back and resume the essay. Even if your child was 95% done with their work and they get checked out, they WILL have to completely start over on another testing date. Please check your schedules and shuffle any doctor, dentist, or other appointments that might conflict with these testing dates. We thank you for understanding and working alongside us so that each student succeeds! 🧡
