Right before the break, Mrs. Renaud's class finished their food lab on smoothies. The main goals were to follow directions, correct measurements, and make sure sanitation rules were followed. Despite the mess, our students rocked it!

Our 8th-grade science students made mouse trap race cars in Mr. Leach's class! They went to the gym and let them loose! The farthest recorded distance was 67 ft. All with some dowel rods, glue, rulers, CDs, string, and a mouse trap. Pretty impressive!

Congratulations to our Student Spotlight of the Week, Hayden Heller 🌟 Mr. Leach said "In my five years at GMS I have had many exceptional science students, but Hayden is proving to be one of the best students I have ever had. Hayden is smart, laser-focused, and works hard. He is also talented at the engineering aspect of our class and has shown his talents already with constructing objects such as our rocket for the rocket launch. He has shown an ability to think outside the box with our labs and projects. Fellowship of Christian Students had a fun meeting yesterday! Ava and Jaylea led the devotion. Will led the prayer. They played a fun game of “pin the feathers on the Turkey” and ate cookies. 😄 It was a great time of fellowship!

Yesterday, Mr. Boyd's computer science classes tried to crack the code on the microbits he coded! Students had to think outside of the box and do certain steps to get the microbit to sing a tune. Some of the steps included flipping the microbit over, turning it left/right, letting it freefall, and yelling at it 😆
Just in case you visit our front office anytime soon, Ms. Mali and Ms. Jodie are skipping Thanksgiving and moving straight to Christmas 🤣 Their reasoning is, "There are only 18 days to enjoy the Christmas decorations after we get back from Thanksgiving break....that's isn't enough time!" 🎄
