Attendance is a crucial aspect of a student's academic journey, and it cannot be stressed enough how important it is to attend school regularly! While some may argue that missing a few classes here and there doesn't make a significant difference, the truth is that attendance plays a vital role in a student's overall success and development! Take a look at how the numbers break down and how much instructional time your child may be missing.

Get EXCITED! It was officially approved at the last School Board meeting that GUE is getting a therapy dog! 🐶 Seeing how Glenn A. Duffy's therapy dog, Tilly, interacts and improves student's days, we just couldn't say no to those benefits! Please note, that therapy dogs go through rigorous training and are prepped for all the possibilities they could encounter so they are the perfect gentleman or lady around people. We understand some students may have hesitations around dogs, but we assure you that any interaction with our future therapy dog will be fully on your child's terms so it's a positive interaction ☺

The Student Lighthouse Team is hard at work learning about leadership skills, leadership roles in the school, community service, and are hard at work preparing for their first student-led pep rally on Monday, October 23rd for Red Ribbon Week. In order to be a member of this team, the students had to fill out an application. They were chosen anonymously from the Student Action Team of Teachers based on their responses to the questions.
