Students will spend the morning enjoying outdoor activities with their classmates before gathering for a special goodbye message from the staff. Because this event involves mud and water, students need to wear old clothes and shoes. Please pack a change of clothes, a towel, and a plastic bag to bring wet items home safely. Parents are invited to attend the goodbye message in the cafeteria starting at 12:20 PM. Speeches begin around 12:30 PM to allow plenty of time for check-in and seating. After the celebration concludes, students will return to their classrooms for final activities with their teachers. ๐ฆ๐งก #LionPride #GravetteSchools

Applying classroom skills to support a local organization shows how young leaders take ownership and help their community. Thank you to the students for using their time to give these animals a better chance at finding a safe place to live. And thank you to Mrs. Knuckles for sharing this story and photos! ๐ฆ๐งก #LionPride #GravetteSchools

Sculptures lined the tables and booths while student artwork covered the walls from floor to ceiling. The displays represented a full year of effort and practice by students across all four schools. High school volunteers in themed uniforms handed out popcorn and balloon animals. Others drew portraits for children at a old-timey portrait station while two student volunteers dressed as a Gravette lion and a circus performer executed stunts for the crowd.
It was a great turnout that provided important recognition for our student artists. Athletes and musicians frequently perform or compete throughout the year. This annual art show gives visual artists their own opportunity to share their progress with the community.
Thank you to the art teachers and staff who collaborated for months to organize this event. Thank you to Ozarks Community Hospital for providing the space, to Skylight Cinema in Bentonville for donating the popcorn, and to the adult volunteers who kept the event running smoothly (and the floors clear of popcorn kernels). We also appreciate the high school volunteers who ran the activities. But most of all, thank you to the student artists who prepared their work for everyone to see! ๐ฆ๐งก #LionPride #GravetteSchools

๐ Practice Exams Online: https://atlasportal.org/
Students have the opportunity to take a practice test at home with the link above. Navigate to the Students and Families section of the testing portal and select a grade level to access training tests for various subjects. Completing a practice session builds comfort with the testing tools and helps students know exactly what to expect.
Families can further support their children by ensuring they get extra rest the night before, eat a healthy breakfast, and arrive early on testing mornings. Approaching these assessments with a steady routine gives our students the best chance to demonstrate what they have learned this year. Thank you for partnering with us to support their focus and success. ๐ฆ๐งก #LionPride #GravetteSchools

Students loved showing off their favorite finds on the bookshelves after enjoying breakfast with the adults in their lives. The bake sale and raffle were a huge success, thanks to everyone who picked up a sweet treat or a raffle ticket. Your purchases directly support the committee in providing encouragement and hosting events for our teachers and staff all year long.
Thank you to everyone who woke up early to spend the morning with us and support our students. ๐ฆ๐งก #LionPride #GravetteSchools

๐ฅง Our school assembly this month was a messy celebration of a major reading milestone! Students surpassed their target of 20,000 Lexia Units, finishing the challenge with over 25,000 units completed through daily focus and practice. As a reward for students crushing their goals, three teachers received a pie in the face!
The assembly also gave us a chance to highlight fifth-grade teacher Sharon Riggs and paraprofessional Amiee West who both earned Staff of the Month honors. Additionally, art teacher Morgan Knuckles received the Gravette School Board Cut Above Award. This recognition honors staff who show up with strong attendance, take positive action, and maintain a great attitude. Whether she is guiding students through creative projects, helping them build academic momentum, or leading the courtesy committee to support her peers, she consistently puts others first.
The assembly brought plenty of cheers as we gathered to recognize the hard work of our students and staff. Thank you to our educators for their daily effort and to our students for keeping their focus on reading. ๐ฆ๐งก #LionPride #GravetteSchools

The school was filled with laughter and dancing as kids connected after hours just for fun. High School Student volunteers played a big role in making the night run smoothly, helping lead activities and making sure everyone felt included and supported.

Experience the growth of our lions as you explore hundreds of paintings and sculptures that show unique student vision. Last year was the biggest turnout yet, and we're hoping to match or exceed that. Supporting these artists helps them recognize the success of their hard work and encourages them to keep creating.

Library Media Specialist Brittany Gripe had been guiding the class tracking a real bill from the previous general session. Applying this knowledge, students are now drafting their own original bills. Representative Duke visited to answer questions and explain her direct experience in government. This was a first-hand experience applying classroom lessons with a state representative and gave these students a practical understanding of civic responsibility.
Thank you to Representative Duke for taking the time to speak with our class and encourage local civic engagement. A special thank you to Mrs. Gripe for organizing this visit and sharing these photos with us. ๐ฆ๐งก #LionPride #GravetteSchools
