Yesterday, our automotive and welding classes got to watch several car airbags deploy. They were explosive! Students learned that if they aren't wearing their seatbelt, all that momentum and force from the airbag will directly impact their bodies. Afterward, a Springdale police officer spoke to the class and described how they recreate accident scenes using vehicles' black boxes. Our students learned SO much. We will be posting a slow-mo video of all the activities right after this so be on the lookout!

Watch out world! Our automotive classes have advanced to the next level. This electrical system program showcases the live operation and study of a lighting system. Our students can now troubleshoot on this training device and feel that much more confident when working on an actual vehicle!

Our construction students are learning about sanding and overall finishes! Students were able to kick holes in the drywall, patch them up, and repair them. One student even said, "I enjoy the whole process. Taking something broken, fixing it, and then being able to take pride in the end product."

Say hello to Joshua! 👋🏻 Just four years ago, Joshua was in this welding shop learning from Mr. Simpson. Now, he has graduated from Arkansas Elite Welding Institute and is entering the workforce! Joshua will be making around $40 an hour. We are so proud of you, man!
