🎨 Gravette High School student Reese Long created the winning drawing selected to represent our school in the Natural State Ornament Project. Her artwork will be turned into a holiday ornament and displayed at the Arkansas State Capitol in Little Rock beginning in mid-November.
Reese's artwork captures state symbols including a white-tailed deer among pine trees, a mockingbird perched on apple blossom branches, and a leaping fish. The Arkansas flag set against mountain peaks complete the scene. It's a beautifully crafted depiction of Arkansas wildlife.
Congratulations to Reese on earning this statewide showcase for her work. Thank you to Mrs. Hendrick for organizing this effort and to all the students who submitted entries. Gravette School District recently received our state assigned school grades. The district had a great academic year highlighted by each school receiving the grade of a B, with an improvement of a whole letter grade in some buildings. This marks the best school year performance for the district since the state's grade card system began in 2014.
