The Gravette School Board has finalized the academic calendar for 2026-2027 and made several decisions regarding the next school year.

🗓️ View Academic Calendar: https://www.gravetteschools.net/academic-calendar

The academic calendar is the authoritative source for the structure of the school year. While it does not include specific event dates or athletics information, it defines mandatory dates like semesters, holidays, and breaks. Having these details early is crucial for staff and families to plan ahead and stay informed on the upcoming schedule.

Looking ahead to the next school year, our schools will have fresh support through building upgrades and new leadership on the school board. These improvements, alongside the contract extension for Superintendent Jeff Gravette, provide a stable foundation as we work to support our students. We are excited for the progress being made across our district and look forward to another great year for our #LionPride.

❤️ Gravette Middle School Builders Club members recently created handmade Valentine cards for patients and staff at Ozark Community Hospital. Supplies for this heartfelt project were funded through profits from the club’s sponsored dances. During several RTI sessions, students designed and wrote each card to share a little extra kindness with their neighbors at the hospital.

The Builders Club raises its own funds through community events and reinvests those resources into local service projects. By organizing and leading these efforts, our Lions build leadership skills, creativity, and resourcefulness while helping the community.

As an affiliate of Kiwanis International, the Builders Club helps prepare students for the Gravette High School Key Club through service-centered initiatives like this one. Great job to all GMS students who helped make this project possible! 🦁🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools

🛠️ Way to go Gravette FFA! Future Farmers of America students Reese Long, Ava Brown, and Maddilyn Vollweider earned top honors and state qualifications at the Girl Power NWA event in Farmington yesterday. These high schoolers showcased their technical skills by creating custom items in their agricultural mechanics classes.

🥇💰 Maddilyn Vollweider earned first place in the Metal Division with a custom-built Arkansas-themed fire pit with a removable cooktop. Her work resulted in a full scholarship to Northwest Technical Institute.
🥈🏅 Ava Brown secured second place in the Metal Division with her western-themed light fixture and received the People's Choice Award.
🥈 Reese Long took second place in the Multi-Tool Division for her rocket stove that includes a wooden prep rack.

These students connected with industry leaders from local businesses like Kimbel Mechanical Systems, CREW NWA, and Midland Industrial Services. Northwest Arkansas Education Service Cooperative facilitated the event to help students see their potential in the trades. For many young women, the trades can feel like a world where they do not belong. Meeting women who are already thriving in these roles shows them that if they have the talent and the work ethic, there is a seat at the table for them too.

These results highlight the focus and skill our FFA students bring to their craft every day. Congratulations to these young women for their achievement. We look forward to what happens next! 🦁🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools

🩸 The Gravette High School HOSA blood drive has concluded with record-breaking participation from our student body and community. This effort directly addresses the critical inventory challenges currently facing the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks.

The drive surpassed expectations by achieving 120% of its original collection goal. Over 40 volunteers stepped forward to contribute, filling the schedule completely and requiring a waiting list. This response ensures that local hospitals have immediate access to life-saving supplies during a time of urgent need.

Huge thanks to Mrs. Hilger and her healthcare students for facilitating this event and managing the logistics throughout the day. Their leadership provided a direct avenue for our community to serve neighbors in need. 🦁🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools
