Tip of the day ❗ Have you checked your child's lunch balance recently? 🍽 You may be thinking, "I don't need to do that! I make my child breakfast and they bring their lunch." Think again! It seems that our Gravette Lions are actually "hobbits" thinking they need 2nd breakfast & lunch 😆 Please make sure you check the balance and if you notice that your child has been eating at home AND getting doubles at school, you can contact our Food Service Director, Sheila, at sheila.roughton@gravetteschools.net. She can flag your child's account so that when they go through the line our food service ladies know that your child eats at home/brings their lunch and will not serve them double. Thank you for checking and working alongside us on this, parents 🧡

Congratulations to GUE Student of the Week! 4th-grader, Mason Rosales, is our winner. Mason's teacher said, "Mason is kind, follows directions, is very respectful, and is an AWESOME student!!" Keep up the great work, Mason! 🥳

Hey Parents and Students, we are excited to be bringing back a Holiday Food Drive! It start this coming Monday and for the next two weeks we are collecting items in collaboration with Outreach 58:10. Let's rally together to help serve our community! 🧡

Earlier this week, our School Board members came and ate lunch with a group of our 4th graders! They also popped into a few classes and saw what our lions were up to. 🦁 We are thankful for such active and willing school board members who invest their time into fostering relationships with our students and setting us up for success 👏 #ComeGrowWithUs

You still have time to make it to Bright Futures Food Pantry ‼ It's a first come first serve distribution. 4-6pm at the Western Benton Country Career Center. Make sure to follow Bright Futures Gravette's Facebook page for all things food pantry 🧡

TAKE THE SUPERINTENDENT CHALLENGE and win like these Lions did!! Find Mrs. Childress at tonight's home football game and be one of the first 10 students or community members to accurately recite the district's vision statement and receive a coupon for a free drink from the concession stand. "We are Lion Pride! We lead the way in everything we pursue!" Go Lions!

Just a reminder, parents ‼ Breakfast and Books is tomorrow morning at 8am 📚 There will be a welcome table set up as soon as you walk in the front doors! PLEASE NOTE: You will not be able to get through the intersection by the volleyball gym/middle school until AFTER 7:50am. It will be blocked until that time due to morning bus traffic. Please be aware of children unloading buses and crossing the street. Let's keep our lions safe!

Mark your calendars and come join us for Fall Family Night at GUE 🍂 November 15th from 5-7pm. See you there!

Happy Halloween from our wonderful food service ladies 👻 Today's fruit choice was a candy corn themed fruit cup! Tangerines on the bottom, pineapples in the middle, and delicious whipped cream to top it off. 🤤

Congratulations to GUE Student of the Week! 5th-grader, Brinley Estep, is our winner. Brinley's teacher said, "She is always looking for ways to help her peers and other teachers. She is so hardworking and always getting all her work done. Brinley also looks for ways to cheer up her classmates when they are not feeling themselves!" 🥰

Yearbooks are on sale until January 27th! We are so close to meeting our goal in order to add more pages to the yearbook! More pages = more candid pictures of your child! Yearbooks are $30! Please contact Mrs. Youngblood if you have any questions! Thank you for supporting our schools! 🦁

Just a reminder that the book fair will be at GUE starting next Monday, October 31st 📚

This past Friday, Mrs. Knuckles' WIN group created their own food trucks! They had to create a menu, design a logo, and make their truck. Keep up the creativeness, lions! #ComeGrowWithUs

Red Ribbon week is off to a great start! Yesterday, our students were excited to sign the wall and pledge to be drug free and make healthy choices. Way to be lion leaders, GUE!

Our students at GUE are excited about the partnership that Gravette FFA is developing with our school. Gravette FFA is working to provide our school with resources for our 3rd through 5th grade students to teach them about Agriculture Science, responsibility, leadership, sustainability, practical life skills, and so much more. Some of our students were able to interact with a rabbit in one of our classrooms today. They learned about the responsibility of caring for rabbits and the important role that they play in our ecosystem. The Gravette High School Ag Science Program is currently working on designing and constructing a raised garden system and chicken coop for our students to participate in an Agricultural Leadership Club and for all of our classrooms to use in partnership with the Gravette FFA Chapter! #ComeGrowWithUs

Congratulations to last week's GUE Student of the Week! 5th-grader, Eli, is our winner. Eli was nominated because he has been working incredibly hard in math this year! Eli's teacher said, "He shows grit, determination, and perseverance. In small group, he is often the first to raise his hand and ask/answer a question. He is not afraid of work that challenges him and it shows in his assessments - which have gone up and up! He increased his percentile rank by 29% and his growth was in the 96th percentile!! Wow! Way to go!" 👏👏 #ComeGrowWithUs

Don't forget this week (October 24-28) starts our Red Ribbon Week and at GUE we have some awesome dress-up days for our lions to participate in. See you all tomorrow for 'Zoom Day' - business wear on top and pjs on the bottom. 😋
