๐ข Morning Drop-Off Reminder for Glenn Duffy Car Riders ๐
To keep traffic flowing smoothly and safely during morning drop-off, please follow these important procedures:
โก๏ธ Pre-K Parents: Start on 6th Ave and turn LEFT at the intersection.
โก๏ธ Kโ2 Parents: Start on El Paso St. and turn RIGHT at the intersection.
โ Using the wrong street for your grade level disrupts traffic and causes unnecessary delays. Letโs work together to keep things moving efficiently for everyone!
Thank you for your cooperation and helping us create a safer drop-off experience.

Mrs. Freelandโs 1st graders made the season extra special with a trip to the Gravette Senior Activity Center on Wednesday to carol for the residents. The kids had so much fun spreading holiday cheer and making new friends. Thanks to Mrs. Hamilton for sharing. Merry Christmas to all! ๐

We hope you enjoy a well-deserved break filled with joy, relaxation, and cherished moments with loved ones. Whether you're staying close to home or traveling, may your holiday season be bright and full of wonderful memories.
You've all contributed to making this a fantastic start to the school year, and we couldnโt be prouder of our school community! We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the second semester, recharged and ready to continue our journey of learning and growth! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Looks like our Superintendent found himself at the center of a little... holiday magic yesterday. A couple mischievous elves snuck in and spread Christmas cheer all over the desk, the shelves, and the floor! They couldnโt help but to make themselves at home. ๐
Maybe this was their way of showing appreciation for all the hard work and care Superintendent Mr. Gravette puts into our school district every day. His dedication to the community and his holiday spirit are truly inspiring, and weโre lucky to have him leading the way. Thank you, Mr. Gravette, for everything you do to make our school district a wonderful place for students, staff, and families alike! ๐ฆ๐งก #LionPride

Did anyone see the elf yesterday? After drinking all that milk, we found her in the nurseโs office with a tummy ache! Can you believe it?
Luckily, Mrs. Catron was there to take great care of her and help her feel better. Glenn Duffy Elementary is so fortunate to have Mrs. Catron looking out for everyone. Thank you for keeping us all healthy and cared for, even when the patient is an elf!
What will that elf will do today? Stay on the look out, Lions! ๐๐ #LionPride #ElfOnAShelf #GDE

Looks like all kinds of holiday characters are making their way to Glenn Duffy Elementary! Yesterday, the Grinch slinked over to sneak through our halls! ๐ฑ
But the Grinch seemed bewildered, bedazzled, and bamboozled by all the holiday cheer happening at our school. Could our Lion Pride be so strong it made his heart is grow three sizes? ๐ฆโจ After all, Christmas doesnโt come from a store. Christmas means a little bit more! #LionPride #GDE

The elf has struck again! Today, she was spotted perched on top of the milk carton cooler outside the cafeteria! ๐ฅ It seems she couldnโt resist helping herselfโฆ That milk moustache says GUILTY!!! ๐ซข
The elf must have known how important the cafeteria is to our school. We should all be super thankful to our food service staff. They work tirelessly every day to prepare meals, serve snacks, and keep everyone energized for learning. Thank you Mrs. Frischman, Mrs. Penn, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Harrington, and Mrs. Farar for all you do! ๐๐
Where do you think the elf will turn up next? Keep watching, and maybe youโll be the first to spot her! ๐๐ #LionPride #ElfOnAShelf #GDE
Have You Spotted the Elf Yet?
Thereโs been a very special visitor spotted at Glenn Duffy Elementary todayโฆ an ELF straight from the North Pole! Some say this magical elf will be popping up in all kinds of unexpected places throughout the week!
Keep your eyes wide open, your holiday spirit high, and donโt forget to do your very best in class! This elf has a direct line to Santa and will definitely notice all the awesome work youโre doing. ๐๐
Oh, and about Dr. Newsomโฆ strange that she's been absent today, isnโt it? ๐ค But who has time to wonder when thereโs an elf to find?!
Happy elf-spotting, everyone! Who knows where theyโll show up next? #LionPride #ElfOnAShelf #GDE

Glenn Duffy Elementary will be honoring our incredible students with a special awards celebration on Friday, January 17th!

Today, we join other schools and communities across the nation in celebrating National Inclusion and Special Education Day, a day dedicated to embracing and honoring the diversity that makes each of us unique.
Inclusion is more than just a wordโit's a mindset and a commitment to creating environments where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered. In schools, inclusion is vital because it ensures that every student, regardless of their background, or abilities, has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Hereโs why inclusion is so important in schools:
1) Fosters Empathy and Understanding: When we learn and grow alongside peers from diverse backgrounds, we develop a deeper understanding and appreciation for different perspectives. --
2) Builds Stronger Communities: Inclusive classrooms and schools promote unity and teach us that we are stronger when we work together. --
3) Empowers Everyone to Succeed: When students feel included, they are more confident, engaged, and motivated to reach their full potential. --
4) Prepares Us for the Future: In an increasingly global and diverse world, learning to collaborate and respect differences is a skill that benefits everyone. -
Today, letโs recommit to being kind, supportive, and inclusive. Whether itโs reaching out to someone new, standing up against exclusion, or simply being a good listener, every action counts. Together, we can make our school a place where everyone belongs, because All means All.
You may see our schools' educators wearing our inclusion day shirts, "Y'all means All" . We hope to embrace that as we move our students forward in the inclusive environments we are all striving to help create in Gravette schools.
Warm regards,
Tyler A. Matlock, Ed.S
Director of Special Education
Gravette School District
