Here's an update on our Food Drive competition! Our lions are ROCKIN' it. Pre-K: 77 items 🎉 Kindergarten: 127 items 🎉 1st grade: 91 items 🎉 2nd grade: 260 items 🎉 The last day to bring in items is Wednesday, December 13th!
For yesterday's "Tree Topper Time" dress-up day, Mrs. Runsick's class was prepared! 🦌 Thank you to Mrs. Runsick's parents for donating so that each student could participate and feel included ☺ We say it often, but it can always be said more, we LOVE our community! Whether it's volunteer-based, donating, or just showing up to support our students and teachers. WE. HAVE. THE. BEST. OF. THE. BEST. 🧡

Don't miss out on today's Food Pantry! Please note, to qualify for the Gravette Bright Futures Food Pantry, the student (s) who attend our district MUST live directly in your home and you must be their sole guardian. Distribution is one per household. Unfortunately, there are not enough supplies to distribute goods to student's extended family members who live outside their homes such as aunts/uncles, grandparents, etc. The GOOD NEWS is that there is another local pantry, Outreach 58:10, that can help! Details are below. We thank you for understanding! 🧡

This morning our Gravette School Board toured GDE and saw our phenomenal teachers in action! They also had a little surprise in their back pocket for the one and only, Mrs. Hall. 🤗 Mrs. Hall was awarded with the "A Cut Above" award. This esteemed recognition means that we SEE and THANK you, Mrs. Hall, for showing up and making SUCH a difference in the lives of your students. Please take a moment to congratulate her and show her some love! 🧡 Also, shout out to our Gravette FFA Chapter for hand making this award. It's that much more special!

Some may even say that if you snuggle up real close you'll have a 100% chance of accidentally taking a mid-day snooze. 😉 In all seriousness, Tilly is doing what she does best! By being her sweet and calm self, she helps regulate our student's emotions and allows our lions to succeed. Don't ever underestimate the power of a good hug and pet from Tilly!

We are excited to announce that we will be having a food drive to gather donations for the local food pantry! Each grade level will be competing against each other to see who can bring in the most food items! The grade level with the most food items will earn an EXTRA RECESS. We will begin this Friday, December 1, and it will last until Friday, December 15. Let's get ready to rumble...for a great cause! 🥰
Yesterday, Mrs. Runsick's 2nd-grade class had SO much fun playing shop! They practiced budgeting, identifying coins, counting coins, and paying a cashier. ☺
