🤝 Gravette High School FFA students recently installed new Blessing Boxes at two locations in our area. This project expands local access to essential resources and utilizes a $1,200 National FFA Living to Serve Grant awarded to the chapter last fall.
Students in our agriculture mechanics classes applied their technical skills to design and construct these structures for placement at the First Christian Church of Gravette and Sulphur Springs City Park. These units are now active and ready for use by anyone in the region who requires assistance. The chapter is now launching a collection campaign for non-perishable goods and canned foods to ensure these pantries remain stocked for the public.
Community members may contribute to this effort by bringing donations to Mr. Malott or Ms. Macleod at the high school or by placing items directly into the boxes. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve our area through the hard work of our students. 🦁🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools

🎁 Seniors from the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) and Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA or Future Health Professionals) joined forces to shop for the Angel Tree program. These groups used funds they raised to purchase gifts for four Gravette elementary students.
These high schoolers spent the day selecting items to ensure all young Lions have a memorable holiday. This project connects our oldest students with our youngest, demonstrating how our school community looks out for one another during the giving season.
Pictured from left are Tanner Lundquist, Emma Hageman, Kinsley Burrow, Autumn Brown, Ella West, and Kash May. We are grateful to these leaders for their generosity and for taking the time to make the holidays brighter for their neighbors. 🦁🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools

🩺 Students from Mrs. Hilger's medical terminology class and Mrs. Schaffer's anatomy and physiology class traveled to Missouri Southern State University in Joplin for an immersive lesson. This trip allowed our high schoolers to engage with advanced technology and deepen their understanding of the human body.
Dr. Sherry Whiteman led a session on the cardiovascular system, giving the group hands-on access to an Anatomage machine. This technology simulates a virtual cadaver, allowing the class to examine intricate anatomical details that are usually reserved for university settings. It provides a level of realism that textbooks simply cannot match.
The visit concluded with a knowledge competition where Ian Nelson, Lauryn Taylor, Amylia Vang, and James McNaughton secured the "heavyweight belt" by answering the most questions correctly. Thank you Mrs. Hilger and Mrs. Schaffer for coordinating this trip and helping our aspiring medical professionals see what lies ahead in their education. And thank you to Mrs. Hilger for sharing the story and photos from the trip!🦁🧡 #LionPride #GravetteSchools

💼 Gravette's Future Farmers of America chapter opened their season strong with multiple top-tier finishes at the University of Arkansas Leadership Development Events (LDEs) in Lincoln.
Unlike technical agricultural contests, LDEs measure professional aptitude. To rank highly, students must demonstrate mastery in public speaking, critical thinking, and parliamentary procedure. Consistently performing at this level upholds the high standards of the Gravette program, which is recognized as a two-time 3-Star Rated Chapter by the National FFA Organization. The following students earned recognition for their performance:
🏅 Maddi Vollweider - 3rd Place - Prepared Public Speaking
🏅 Chase Gibson - 4th Place - Extemporaneous Speaking
🏅 Maddy Bassing - 4th Place - Prepared Public Speaking
🏅 Jarett Fort - 5th Place - Extemporaneous Speaking & 6th Place Team - Parliamentary Procedure
🏅 Maddie Samuelson - 5th Place Overall - Ag Discussion

🏅 Ava Brown - 6th Place Team - Parliamentary Procedure
🏅 Colton Bell - 6th Place Team - Parliamentary Procedure
