This is the week of Bus Driver Appreciation Day. Even though the snow kept us away from school, we’re especially grateful for our bus drivers who always put student safety first! Through every season, they work hard to ensure a smooth ride and a warm welcome for our students and families.
Let’s take a moment to thank our bus drivers for their kindness, patience, and commitment to our kids. If you see your driver on Monday, give them a big thank you and a smile!
Our drivers are the ones we see every day, but behind every safe and smooth bus route, there’s a team working hard to make it happen! A huge shoutout goes to Mr. Richard Carver, our Transportation & Facilities Director, and Mrs. Melissa White, our Transportation & Facilities Administrative Assistant, for all they do to keep our buses running and our students safe. Their hard work, planning, and care make a difference every day!
Our schools need more bus drivers! If you or someone you know is interested in joining our team, check out the job posting here: https://www.gravetteschools.net/drive

Gravette Schools will be closed Friday, February 21st due to inclement weather.

The Gravette 9th Grade Quiz Bowl team had a strong showing at the State Finals last Saturday at Pulaski Academy in Little Rock. After losing only one match during morning round-robin play, the team advanced through the afternoon bracket to reach the championship match.
Trailing by 70 points going into the final round, the team fought back to tie the match, forcing overtime. After five tiebreaker questions, the teams remained even, leading to a sudden death round. Isaac Nichols answered the first sudden death question correctly, securing the win for Gravette!
Jarett Fort and Isaac Nichols were both named to the all-tournament team for their performances.
While junior high teams do not have a single recognized state champion due to AAA rules, Gravette claimed the top spot in their bracket. This team has demonstrated skill, perseverance, and teamwork, and we look forward to seeing their continued success in the years ahead.

Congratulations to Autumn Brown, an 11th-grade student at Gravette High School, for earning the Arkansas Seal of Biliteracy in Spanish! Autumn is the first junior in our school to receive this recognition!
Autumn has demonstrated exceptional proficiency in both English (her first language) and Spanish, earning scores that showcase her skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking. This achievement opens doors for future scholarships and job opportunities.
Students who earn the Seal gain recognition for their ability to communicate fluently in more than one language, making them highly competitive in today's global workforce. If you're learning a second language or planning to, this is a goal to consider as it brings both personal pride and professional advantage! 🌍
A big thank you to Mrs. Lisa Thrailkill, our ESOL Director and Spanish Teacher, for leading the way in promoting this valuable program here at Gravette High School. 🌟 Look forward to more announcements on Gravette High School students earning their Seal of Biliteracy. #LionPride #ARSB #2Bilit2Quit #ARBiliteracy🧡
